The Demihuman Archives Marc Mattaliano 9781441579003 Books

If someone had vomited into an empty book and sold it to me, it would be better than this--at least that would have some Modernist street cred. Instead, what I got was pages of incoherence sandwiched by incompetence on one side, and insanity on the other. Frankly, I find this whole affair to be an affront to the human race.

The Demihuman Archives Marc Mattaliano 9781441579003 Books Reviews

In the dark days before Marc Mattaliano and the Demihuman Archives there was only darkness.

One day a man with a vision then wrote the Demihuman Archives and that man was Marc Mattaliano. On that day, the Lost were Found, the Blind could See and the Evil were Punished. A specter was released in the world of literature and has gone unnoticed or, in a more SINister viewing, unacknowledged by the community at large. From the the first description of Ireland, this self proclaimed "Italian Jersey boy," grasps control of your emotions and wrenches those aforementioned emotions out of where they lie so deep in your mind/heart. An epic tale of redemption, pain, betrayal and sacrifice might be what you are looking for, but it is not what you shall find. All you will find between the covers of this book is sadness. Sadness that you will never be as good a writer as Maestro Mattaliano and in fact you will never even understand the deeper meanings of the book. All you can do is quit your job, shave your head, tie on your Walmart sneakers and drink the Kool Aid.
But I'm sure I can do a better job than this 'author' at expressing how terrible this.

But it's not worth the effort. Be glad that this is a self published book, a death sentence for anyone who one day hopes to get published. Properly published, not self published with typos and terrible terrible structure in place.

Read for laughs! Read for sickness!

Oh, and the cover 'art'.....rahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
The Demihuman Archives is an opus that ascends heights of delving down into the oft-traveled path s of dystopia, katanas and elven love with style reminiscent of teh best of Gibson and Pynchon. Meaty and sublime, Mattelpiano's prose chews the scenery's and places described like keen-edged cud abutting gritty action that never stops except when it does for good reasons.

The characterization has quality to match due to fleshing fully out with traits that you'd never expect like being made of metal or punching vampires like Muhammad Ali(cassius). But the people and things he writes about are not the only reason to buy this book because there are other reasons like the pacing. Which is trenchently fast but also romantic when the tender moments between the prototagonist and his elfen belle demand a slower Mise-en-scène

In conclusion I can reassuredly promise that this book is a purchase that that will never disappoint you until when the last page turned and the author's picture greets you with thick pecs and a deservedly proud smile. The only way the Demihuman Archives could be any better is if it had a link to pre-order the eagerly awaited sequel or unban keep it real.

The end.
I, for one, think it's absolutely wonderful that we're letting our nation's mentally handicapped write books now. Sure, they get worked up sometimes and think they can design the cover too, but I say good on them for trying. It warms my heart whenever I see an obviously impaired kid just get up there and do what he loves, regardless of what anyone says.

With this glorious first step onto the public stage, Marc Mattaliano's name can now stand proud next to Chris Burke, Edward Barbanell, Andrea Fay Friedman, Laz-D and the countless others who don't let their mental handicaps stop them from letting their creativity shine.
Never before have I been so moved by a pair of desert eagles, a 2nd generation glock and an assortment of random cutlery. The juxtaposition of such elaborate and expensive firearms with a utilitarian glock shows society that no matter how high we place ourselves on a pedestal, to mirror ourselves with the company of others who feel the need to rise up above the common man, that we must never forget the humble glock, who like many of us, would appear simpler and perhaps even cruder then the lofty, nickle plated cult of celebrity we have come to worship. Like the humble glock, many of us struggle to reconcile our exterior selves with our own inner struggles to survive in a world that tells us our 17+1 round capacity means nothing if that ivory handled, chrome Smith and Wesson msrps for nearly twice what we have been told we are worth. This is the most provocative work of art to so clearly detail class warfare since Marx, and for that I give it 5 stars.

(Note, I did not actually read the book, I had the entire thing framed so the cover wouldn't be marred by people attempting to read whats inside.)
If someone had vomited into an empty book and sold it to me, it would be better than this--at least that would have some Modernist street cred. Instead, what I got was pages of incoherence sandwiched by incompetence on one side, and insanity on the other. Frankly, I find this whole affair to be an affront to the human race.
